Customs and RDC Exit as Women’s Division Reaches Semifinals

Customs and RDC’s BML One Game Inter-Office Beach Handball title hopes have ended after both teams were defeated in the women’s division quarter-finals, with the semi-final lineup now confirmed.

In the first quarter-final, STELCO defeated Customs 2–1 in a closely fought encounter. STELCO dominated the opening set 22–12, but Customs responded by winning the second set 20–19 to force a shootout.

STELCO held their nerve in the deciding shootout, winning 05–03 to secure their place in the semi-finals. Aminath Shafa was named Player of the Match for STELCO.

STELCO entered the quarter-finals as Group C winners, while Customs qualified as Group B runners-up.

In the second quarter-final, Immigration defeated RDC 2–0, winning the opening set 11–05 before edging the second set 11–10.

Fathimath Rishma was named Player of the Match for Immigration.

Immigration advanced to the quarter-finals as Group D winners, while RDC entered the knockout stage as Group A runners-up.

The women’s division featured 16 teams divided into four groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarter-finals.

Following the intense quarter-final battles, Immigration, STELCO, WAMCO and MTCC have secured their places in the last four.

In the semi-finals, WAMCO will face MTCC, while Immigration will take on STELCO for a place in the final.
